If their was no free-will then we'd all be robots. What's the point of that? Hell, is made attractive by the sin and the unbelief in it. Life is short it is a test that spans about 80 years and if done correctly you get into Heaven for eternity. It's a pretty easy thing to go through. With great power comes great responsibility, and those people you listed failed that.
