Ok tahmks everyone, now I need to know I have a 25 pound frozen bird do I leave it out,To defrost?

Yes everyone now my hubby has made it even harder he bought a 25 pound frozen bird, I say we need to leave it out to defrost, or it will still be frozen and he says it will go bad if I leave it out, which is right, and what should I do, I dont want a frozen bird on thanksgiving please help,
