I NEED URGENT HELP WITH INTERNET ISSUES?

i have contacted them, i have pleaded with them, but they wont do anything to help, them being Satan Reincarnate, Cox Cable. Last month the internet wouldnt stay stable enough for me to pay the bill, which is horrifically overpriced. We are cornered, unless we get satellite, because Verizon is still installing and wont be done with my neighborhood until July or August, my brother says it is not the Router because.... well he didnt explain but i remember we have replaced it several times to see if it would help, and i have a freaking $150 adapter just to go through two plaster walls because the connection from my room dosnt work and i wanted to see if a better adapter would help, which it dosnt, the connection from the computer hooked directly to the router is less than crappy, and the connection dosnt stay up long enough for me to play any games that are online, whenever we call Cox cable they say unplug it wait ten seconds and plug back in, which helps for literally 10 seconds, and then it all goes in the crapper again, they sent a guy out to see if he could fix it, and he just unplugged it and plugged it back in again, which almost made me weep because of the sheer stupidity that i was surrounded with, what should i do....... im so lost and bored because i cant get those last trophies on LitttleBigPlanet that require online play *sniff* *sniff*
