What do you do for a cut, swollen lip on a 15 mth old?

My 15 mth old fell & cut her upper lip on the corner of a floor shelf. The bleeding stopped quickly but her lip is very swollen around the cut. She doesn't seem to be in pain (I gave her Tylenol) but it looks hideous!! I tried putting a baby icepack on, but she wouldn't let me. Should I put anything on the cut, though it's moist all the time cuz it's on the inside of her lip. Will the swelling go down?? How long?? I feel so bad!! But she does seem her normal self.
