Itching around the area?

About a month ago I went to my doctor b/c I had terrible itching around my . Before going I tried every over the counter creme you can imagine. He gave me a creme for the itch and just to be sure I didn't have pin worms he gave me some pills to get rid of them. None of that worked, so I went back and he gave me a stronger creme that still had no affect. He did tell me that using baby wipes after a bowel movement could have irritated my area. I quit using them and the itching seemed to ease up a little bit. As my luck would have it the itching has come back and its worse now than before. Just to clarify, I don't itch in the , just around it and in the crack of my cheeks. Can anyone please help with this issue? It's been driving me crazy for almost two months now and the constant itch is starting to affect my attitude and morale. Please help!
